YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY SHOULD CAPTURE

THE HEART AND SOUL OF WHO YOU ARE AND WHERE YOU’RE CELEBRATING.

The lush late afternoon ceremony and golden sunset during portraits. The romantic and glowy al fresco dinner set-up, the retro-goodness of saltwater taffy from the pier on each plate for your guests.

These carefully chosen details - let alone, the fact that all your favorite people are in one place - are more than cause for celebration.

The whole weekend is going to be unforgettable and with me & my camera around, none of it will be missed.

"I'll cherish these photos all of my days"

"Jess, I cannot express how much it means to me that you are capturing the sweetest moments of my wedding!"

— Melanie & Brett

Every time you hold your images in your hand or pass them on your walls, I want you to recognize the moment, to relive the feeling

…Your partner’s head thrown back in laughter

…A quiet moment as you soak it all in

…Sharing a cocktail with your friends after sunset portraits

You know your wedding isn't just one day, but an investment in preserving your relationship. And what a way to do that.

Weddings

hybrid digital and film wedding photography

Film has a timeless quality—it’s connected to images of our parents and grandparents—yet still feels so immediate. When you hold a film photo in your hands, it takes you right back to the moment. I really love to capture moments on film whenever possible. Highlights on film are included in all wedding day coverage.

The Process

First thing first, fill out my simple contact form. I’ll share my investment guide and then we’ll meet (over Zoom, or however you prefer) to get to know each other. I am selective with the number of couples I’ll work with each year, so if we work together, you can be confident you have all my support and care.

Planning now means no stress later. That’s basically my mantra for all things in life. That means I’ve got color-coded spreadsheets, questionnaires galore, and flexibility to pivot when necessary. Most wedding packages come with an engagement session, which is a relaxed, carefree photo session focused on you two. We can hang out right here along the Central Coast and SLO, or I can come to you. Let’s chat about it!

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

We’re ready to book! What comes next?

Let's chat! After we’ve chatted, I'll prepare a personal proposal outlining a photography timeline for you and your planner as well as custom photography coverage options. Then, I'll send a digital contract for you to sign and pay a retainer fee. After that, I’m all yours. I’m excited to work with you and your vendor team to bring your vision to life.

We’re not sure what else to do while on the Central Coast…help?

Ooh, I definitely can help! I’ve got tons of favorites, from hikes & kayaking to breweries & wineries. And, of course, all my favorite local food.

Do you have favorite vendors?

In my decade+ of photography experience, I’ve been lucky to work with wonderful vendors across the Central Coast. Let’s chat about your needs, and I’ll share all my recommendations.

Do you work with second photographers?

I’m part of a close network of professional photographers who all own their own businesses. It’s a fantastic community, so we rely on each other to second-shoot weddings when needed. However, I often photograph weddings alone, without sacrificing the quality of service and images I provide.

How long will it take to receive our images?

Engagement sessions are usually 3-4 weeks delivery and weddings are about 6-8 weeks usually depending on the time of season as film must be sent out for developing.

How much do you edit?

I edit images with true-to-life colors in mind so your images will be a timeless way to remember this day.

Can you help us pick out prints and design albums?

Absolutely! Holding your images physically in your hands, seeing them displayed on your walls...hits different. My hope is that your images live as daily cherished reminders of your love story in your home.

Do you travel?

I do! While I adore the Central Coast, I’m always excited to photograph weddings up and down California, from NorCal’s forests and funky venues to the laidback, luxe vibes of Santa Barbara. If you’re getting married outside California, let’s chat! I truly love to travel, so I’m always excited to plan your wedding photography wherever you’ve decided to share your vows.

At The HEART OF EVERYTHING:

You chose your details

with intention

You chose to share your vows along the Central Coast for a reason, and you’re each choosing details of your wedding for a reason too. Honoring those details is such an important part of wedding photography, from documenting the font of your invitations to the shape of your heels to the shade of the flowers.

The meaning behind

each tradition

You two are creating a wedding weekend that brings together everyone and everything you hold dear. That matters, and it matters to me to capture it. From Tea Ceremonies to the Sofreh Aghd to a full Catholic Mass, I want to document the traditions you’ve chosen to celebrate the start of your marriage.

The truth of

quiet moments

I am all about elevated portraits and editorial style, but there’s just something so real about the quiet moments. I have an image from my own wedding where I’m smiling just slightly. I just look so content, like everything in that moment was exactly as it should be. I want to capture moments like these for you two as well.

"I was in tears looking through all of the perfect memories she captured."

Jessica was amazing! During and after our wedding so many of our guests complimented on how awesome our photographer was and mentioned she was everywhere, capturing all the special moments. I could not be happier with our experience.

— Jess & Jeff
