When Lindsay and Josh said they wanted a Disneyland engagement session in California, I was over the moon. Josh had proposed there so the location sentimental. But also who the heck wouldn’t want to spend the day at the happiest place on earth??

As an Orange County wedding photographer, I knew we had to act fast to avoid crowds and Lindsay & Josh were ready to roll. And wow, what a wild ride it was. We ran allll over the place. Their session focused on Main St., Fantasyland, and New Orlean’s Square. Of course the first location on our agenda was Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. We quickly and delicately avoided crowds which was no easy task!
Then we hit the teacups and carousel. Having never had to spin myself in a teacup and photograph at the same time I wasn’t sure how that was going to go haha. It was a workout for sure but I’m in love with the images. And the colors on the carousel stood out so beautifully.
Josh proposed in front of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride so absolutely had to take pictures in the Blue Bayou restaurant in New Orleans Square and watch the guests ride by on the boats. As the day continued and we searched for shade we took a little ride on the Mark Twain Riverboat.
Also can we talk about how adorable Lindsay’s polk-a-dot dress is? It was perfect for a Disneyland engagement session. Josh was such a trouper in his fall sweater while we fought the heat of a Southern California day (pretty typical weather for a day at Disneyland Park). Ice-cream was the hero of the afternoon!
I can’t wait for their wedding next year at Five Crowns in Corona Del Mar, the atmosphere reminds me of a British pub + greenhouse which I am ALL about.
