Katie & Marcus’s charming California wedding at SLO Brew Rock was out of this world! Like most engaged couples in 2020, they were another couple whose wedding plans were destroyed by COVID-19. They originally had hoped to get married in England. Once the pandemic struck, they moved to a local wedding! Regardless, those plans fell through as well. They ended up eloping in Hawaii and planned their “Rosevear Rager” to celebrate with friends and family.
Although their wedding plans had lots of twists and turns, their special day truly ended up turning out amazing!
SLO BREW ROCK WEDDING DAY DETAILS
The day started with portraits of the new Mr. & Mrs. Rosevear at Hotel SLO. I was so excited to capture a part of downtown San Luis Obispo that I’ve recently fallen in love with. My husband and I frequent Hotel SLO’s rooftop bar (High Bar) and their Low Bar restaurant Piadina. If you haven’t tried either, I definitely recommend both!
Because I was familiar with the beautiful design of Hotel SLO, I was so excited to finally be able to photograph there! The fact that I was photographing Katie and Marcus was the absolute icing on the cake!
Once the shuttles transferred guests to the wedding reception at SLO Brew Rock, we partied the night away. The Rock at SLO Brew is a fantastic indoor/outdoor wedding venue inSan Luis Obispo. If you are looking for a fun atmosphere, this is definitely the place.
Undoubtedly, Erin with Your Event by Erin, the couple’s wedding planner, created a fantastic soiree with the dream team of vendors. In detail, Idlewild decked out the place with dried florals. Alpha-lit and Glitz & Gather set up the most amazing marquee lights, balloons, and backdrop for the dancefloor.
Katie surprised Marcus with a birthday cake that had their dog’s, Cooper, face on it! I don’t know about you, but I think that fur babies are the best!
After cheering with drinks made with custom ice cubes (SO COOL. Ha get it?), guests danced the night away to the Lucky Devils Band.
