Molly & Ryne’s tropical Santa Barbara Zoo wedding was full of palm trees and animal-inspired themes. They even topped the decor off with live flamingos! I love when my couples lean into their ideas and realize that the sky is truly the limit! Molly & Ryne understood the assignment and did just that.
WEDDING DAY DETAILS
Before their special day, we got to test out all the best spots for their Santa Barbara Zoo wedding by doing their engagement session there. We even fed the giraffes before heading to the beach.
I photographed Molly’s sister, Katie’s, wedding at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum which made seeing all of the guests extra fun! I even got to meet Katie & Dustin’s daughter who is only a couple of months younger than my own. Molly’s dad had the sweetest reveal moment with her and then the family surprised Molly’s mom with a birthday cake on the dance floor.
The groomsmen wore matching flamingo print socks while Ryne sported cheetah print socks that perfectly peeked through in their photos.
The vendors they chose all did a phenomenal job. Ella & Louie absolutely killed it with the tropical floral bouquets and floral accents!
I loved watching the sunset behind the palm trees and Molly & Ryne cuddled with flamingos. One of the other great features of this venue besides live animal encounters is dinner by candlelight which to me makes everything better. Plus the zoo can hold a lot of guests making it the perfect place to have a larger wedding.
