Why a Halloween Bridal Shower?
Since my sister, Bec, is obsessed with Halloween, I knew I had to throw her a Halloween inspired bridal shower. It started with “zombie bride” and evolved into a “This Warlock & Witch Are Getting Hitched” coed bridal shower. You may remember me sharing that my sister celebrated her birthday at this airbnb Haunted Mansion inspired Ghostly Retreat so it shouldn’t surprise you that her bridal shower would be at Diana’s fabulous Vogel Victorian. Diana loves Halloween as much as Bec does and hosts the most amazing Haunted Tea Parties. My mom made the floral stuffed pumpkins decor and we drank Black Magic Sangria. We also served a variety of Liquid Death Mountain Water.
Halloween decor everywhere
Everywhere you looked, Halloween decor dripped over the walls, furniture and countertops. Guests walked into the Victorian home and their jaws dropped as they toured each nook & cranny. Everyone was saying how much they were inspired to up their Halloween decor in their own homes. The weather was oddly drizzly for Southern California but we fit everyone inside comfortably. Thankfully the sun came out enough for us to play an outdoor game.
Halloween inspired coed bridal shower games
We played Scary Movie Trivia (multiple choice to help out our guests) and How well do you know the Witch & Warlock? (aka questions about the couple). Of course, we ended with a Zombie Bridal fashion show where our bride and groom to be judged the fashion skills of our guests. Guests were divided into teams of 3 and we gave them 7 minutes to create their fashions. Our zombie brides & grooms walked the aisle as our team captains described what they were wearing to the song Monster Mash.
Once we said our goodbyes I took a few quick snaps of our bride & groom to be around the property. I can’t imagine how fun it would be to photograph a couple in full wedding attire here. Lucky for me I get to photograph my sister’s Haunted Mansion themed wedding and you bet I’ll be showing those photos off. Be sure to check out my blog next summer to see their photos!
