When your sister (the bride) is obsessed with horror movies, Halloween, and cats…you throw her a black Cat themed bachelorette!

Cat Themed Bachelorette Gift Bags
I went a little overboard on gift bags for each of the ladies attending my sister’s cat themed bachelorette party. In her bag, I included a Getting Meowied sash, white cat style sunglasses, a cat ear bride headband with a veil, this hilarious cat sticker, a cat shaped vegan face mask called Cat Nap and a disposable cat camera! It’s a camera that puts cat designs on each photo and you don’t see it until it’s developed. Unfortunately, they’re discontinued and the film expired 5 years ago and the flash battery died so we’ll see how the photos turn out. I also found these adorable cat cards for her to write each lady a thank you.
Each lady got their own gift bag with a water bottle customized with a cat sticker. And each pussycat got their own unique cat silk scarf! The popular scarves came from this brand on amazon. This cat scarf comes in red, green, gray, navy and white. This cat scarf has three different cat designs available. We all got a black cat ear headband, light up cat ears for the party bus and sequin cat ears for the drag show (keep reading)!
Duffy Boat Ride Around Newport Beach, California
We started our journey checking into our hotel Holiday Inn Express Newport Beach, we parked here and walked an easy 7 minutes to our duffy boat, the Sea Senorita. We connected our playlist to their built in speakers and played “Guess that movie” while playing songs from our favorite movies growing up. Our captain was so awesome and pointed out famous landmarks and celebrity homes. Our group of “pussy cats” enjoyed charcuterie from Board Housewives a gift from my dear friend Lila (if you need a realtor in OC she’s amazing and multilingual). Board Housewives even made us a personal size nut free board and a whole vegan charcuterie board to serve our dietary needs as a group.
Bunch of Cozy Pussycats
The weather changed on us a bit and went overcast to rain but we were protected under the Sea Senorita’s black and white striped cover and clear plastic siding. We were a bunch of cozy cats cuddling in our scarves and black cat ears. These black cat ears were my favorite because they were mat and looked more expensive. Our duffy ride was 2 hours, but next time I want longer. After thoroughly enjoying ourselves and sipping on cans of Yes Way Rose, Dogfish Head Vodka Cocktails and Cutwater Margaritas (the strawberry and lime were my fav) we walked back to the hotel. No rain – yay!
Cat Bachelorette Games & Decor
Games, presents and cat decor galore. Balloons said “Lets Purrrty“, cat face garland strung across the hotel room, black balloons scattered on the floor. Decor was complete with a “glitter box” (get it?) full of mini milkyway midnight candies. Naughty meow-libs were a creative and affordable way to laugh and have fun together. No bachelorette party is complete without cat themed naughty confetti!
Dinner for 10 Pussycats
We all know cats favorite food is fish. Thankfully, Starfish Newport serves Japanese and Asian fusion cuisine so we were happy. They also serve vegan and gluten-free dishes for those in our group who needed it. Starfish makes a fantastic “Frozé” (frozen rose) yum! Dinner was only a 10 minute walk from our hotel, score! Plus the food was absolutely delicious, we have a few foodies in our group and everyone agreed it was amazing.
Party Bus to Hocus Pocus Drag Show in Costa Mesa
To include Halloween into our cat themed bachelorette, we hired Mike with Genesis Limo to drive us to Strut in Costa Mesa to see the Mimosa Girls perform their Hocus Pocus Spectacular. We dressed up in either Hocus Pocus attire or sequins and sported light up cat ears for the party bus. I wore these amazing white platform boots, celestial tights from spirit and this dress from Fashion Nova. Once we arrived at the drag show, we switched to sequin cat ears so as to not disturb the performers. (Head to my instagram to check out my reel on this!) Mike picked us up after the show and we headed to our reservation at Yard House for late night bites. Yard House also provided vegan and gluten-free friendly options, it was important to me that our meals be inclusive.
The Next Day
The next morning, some of us walked to Starbucks or C’est Si Bon Bakery down the road and others ate our included breakfast at the hotel. Check out wasn’t until noon and the hot tub opened at 8am! We were up and ready to go since we went straight over to my sister’s This Warlock & Witch Are Getting Hitched coed bridal shower.
